Falling for Autumn

Laaaame title. Yea, I know. But what can I say? I love Fall or Autumn or whatever you want to call it. I "fall" in love with it all over again every year. (See what I did there? Yep, another lame pun.) I fall in love with the sound of the wind through the fallen leaves. I fall in love with the crisp air and the way it stings my lungs as I breathe it in. I fall in love with all of the festivals, and apple cider, and pumpkin spice lattes, and Halloween, and hayrides, and corn mazes... I fall in love with all things Fall.

But what I love most of all is breaking out my boots and scarves. If I could wear my same pair of boots and a different scarf every day for the rest of my life. I'd die a happy woman. I love doing all of the Fall things in my boots and scarves (Wouldn't it just feel wrong to carve a pumpkin or drink hot chocolate in a summer dress and flip-flops?).

What seasons to you guys absolutely fall head over heels for? What are your favorite things about that season (fashion OR anything else)? I'd love to hear!

P.S. We're essentially experiencing a monsoon where I am right now, which is making it hard to get out of this house to get a delicious pumpkin spice latte. So, someone enjoy one for me. Gross-out at Mac

Yea, the title alone makes you not even want to know what happened. It. Was. GROSS.

I decided to take a peek at what was going on at Mac a few weeks ago. As I was halfway through my browsing, one of the employees rushed by and looked at me saying, "I need to put on my lips. There's nothing on them!" I figured she would just pull something out of her personal make-up bag or even get a tester brush and swipe on some lipstick, but no. What did she do? She picked up a lipstick from the most current collection and... wiped it across her lips. No brush. No cleaning it off with a sanitizer and a napkin afterwards. Ew. Ew, ew, ew. From now on, I'll be keeping the lip-product testing strictly to the back of my hand.

Has anyone else ever seen something like this happen? Did you notify someone or did you just let it slide?

Birchbox! Well, Almost.

I subscribed to Birchbox over a month ago and, because of the timing, this is the first box I am getting. If you've never heard of Birchbox, you should totally (talking like a high school girl here) check out their site. It's awesome. It's a $10 (free shipping) a month subscription service that puts together and delivers four to five deluxe size samples of different products and, sometimes, snacks. The products range from face cleanser samples all the way to full-size Nars, Stilla, etc. makeup products.

Imagine my excitement when I got this email when I got home this afternoon. I've been anxiously awaiting this package and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. I should be getting my box in the next week. When I get it, I plan to make a video of me opening it for the first time to share with all of you. (Yay! for videos.) Update: New Benefit Addition

Hey all! Sorry for not posting the tutorial yet, but it's on its way! : )

On a side note, I bought my first ever Benefit product (and I have my eye on at least 10 more things... Can't help it. Everything is just so wonderful). I'm going to do a review on it very soon (maybe tonight, even). I'm not going to reveal what product it is that I bought quite yet, but it's one that many of you ladies will absolutely love.
